Cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription first
A subscription bought in the app is billed by Apple or Google, and we can't cancel it for you: deleting your account doesn't stop it, and it keeps billing you until you cancel it in the store.
- iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions.
- Android: Google Play, your profile, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions.
A subscription on the website is cancelled when you delete your account, straight away, and you aren't charged again.
What is deleted
Your account and the ways you sign in, your plan and its history, your logged and imported runs, your heart-rate settings, your reminders, preferences and calendar link. They're deleted from our live systems at once, and this can't be undone. Your customer record at Stripe goes too, with the card saved on it. If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to end that sign-in.
What is kept, and for how long
- Billing records: for 10 years after the end of the year of the payment, as tax law requires, even after your account is deleted. They're the invoices for payments on the website, which Stripe keeps for us: your name and email address, what you paid and when. We never hold your card number. Payments in the app are billed by Apple or Google, which keep their own records.
- Notes of the billing emails we sent you (which email, when, and the payment it was about) stay with the billing records for the same time, without your email address and no longer linked to your account.
- Messages you sent us from the contact page or by email stay with our support records. Ask us and we'll delete them too.
Our Privacy Policy has the rest: what we collect, why, and your rights.
